Help Support Heidi and Jeremy
Donation protected
UPDATE Oct 26
For a while Jeremy’s doctors have been optimistic about his condition and their treatment options for him. However, it appears Jeremy’s health has taken a turn. Jeremy has been fighting so much, between the wounds and the infections, that his body can no longer cope and his organs are now failing. Jeremy’s doctors will be meeting with him and Heidi soon to discuss taking him off the medication that is keeping him alive. He is in a lot of pain and, at this point, there is no definitive plan for the future.
It is certainly not the news anyone was hoping for. Jeremy and Heidi need everyone’s support now more than ever as they face this tragic turn of events. Any help is greatly appreciated.
For those of you who have not had access to the caringbridge website detailing Jeremy’s journey, here is a link to read about everything in Heidi’s own words:

I’m starting this gofundme to help Heidi and Jeremy as they go through a very tough time.
Jeremy started having medical complications a couple of years ago. He was placed on dialysis which he was able to perform at home with the help of his wife Heidi. However, Jeremy started to decline. His mobility became greatly limited and he started to develop serious infections. Eventually he was transported to the hospital with the hopes of treating these infections. He hasn’t been able to return home since.
For a brief period of time, Jeremy left the hospital and was transferred to a care facility where they tried to manage his pain and help care for his wounds while he healed. However, his body is struggling to heal, and he was sent back to the hospital with many more wounds. Jeremy has had several surgeries throughout this process to try to manage these, but he has only developed more complications which has led to more surgeries.
Jeremy has been in the ICU for the last several days. He lost consciousness for a majority of this time and doctors were concerned he might not wake back up. Luckily, he did finally wake up and Heidi was able to talk to him for the first time in a while.
Throughout most of this, Jeremy has been unable to work. Everything that is donated will go towards any out-of-network medical expenses, medical equipment not covered by insurance, bills, gas for transport to the hospital (as Jeremy is currently staying at a hospital that is several hours away from home), and vehicle maintenance to make sure Heidi can visit Jeremy.
Thank you to everyone for the consideration, any help is greatly appreciated.
