Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to share the story of my mom, Heather Phillips, who is currently fighting against Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor (MPNST) with epithelioid features, high grade. This type of cancer is extremely rare, aggressive, and unfortunately resistant to traditional treatments like chemotherapy and radiation. It has left us feeling defeated, but we are determined to fight with every option available to us.

What Happened

After months of pain and medical uncertainty, my mom was diagnosed with MPNST, a highly aggressive cancer that affects the nerve tissue. The doctors have told us that conventional treatments are not likely to be effective, which has been a hard pill to swallow. But we are not giving up.

Why We Need Your Help:

In order to give my mom the best chance at healing, we’ve decided to pursue alternative treatments through holistic and integrative medicine. These therapies are not covered by insurance and come with significant out-of-pocket expenses. That's why we’re asking for your support to help us cover these expenses as we work to provide my mom with the care she deserves.

We are traveling to Seattle to potentially seek radiation to stop the growth of the tumor as well as surgery. We will also be testing out treatment at a specialized holistic cancer center. The center focuses on non-invasive treatments aimed at boosting the immune system and supporting overall health. While this is a step in the right direction, the financial burden of treatment, travel, and accommodations is more than we can handle alone.

The funds we raise will go toward:

* Holistic healing treatments: These include therapies like acupuncture, nutritional support, and alternative cancer treatments to support my mom’s body and immune system.

* Medical travel and accommodations: Since the treatment center is in Seattle, we need to cover travel, lodging, and other related expenses to ensure my mom can receive the care she needs.

* Supplements and therapies: These treatments will help manage my mom’s symptoms and keep her strength up throughout her fight.
