My beautiful friend Danielle and her partner Damien has had their entire world ripped out from under them. Harry their four year old son has been diagnosed with leukemia.

What started as what they thought to be just another virus picked up from daycare became an urgent diagnosis, and within hours Damien and Harry were flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane. Danielle packed what she could and with her youngest daughter, she left their lives behind.

Harry has already begun intensive chemotherapy and will need to undergo treatment for the next two-three years — starting with at least eight months away from home in Brisbane where he can access the specialised care he needs to survive.

They didn’t ask for this. But they need help.

We’re raising funds to help ease the enormous financial strain this is putting on them — so they can focus on what matters most: helping Harry heal and keeping their family together.
