Hi, my name is Harold Bufford.

 

I have Chiari malformation , which causes seizures and has been since I was 12 years old. The malformation is causing my spinal fluid to collect into a cyst, causing headaches and allowing me only two hours of sleep a night in the past four years . I found out about my new condition four months ago when my grandma said I think you need to see a doctor. I went the next week and they found the cyst. I’m going to require a dermapatch in my skull so the swelling will go away and hopefully the seizures will as well. I am a hard working employee at Buffalo Wild Wings and will be out of work for two months, that’s also my recovery window. I have to stay two nights in ICU after surgery to make sure there are no setbacks. My pre-operation appointment was Thursday, September 15 and this Thursday, September 23rd is my surgery date.
