Help Support Greenhouse and Our Team

This is Greenhouse, the little tattoo and hair shop Chuck and I opened 3 and a half years ago.

Chuck and I met in NYC 19 years ago, both babies moving to the city to learn our crafts. We knew we wouldn't stay there forever and always talked about where we would move. Seven years ago, while expecting our son Charlie, we decided it was time. We wanted to move somewhere surrounded by nature, that wasn't too big, and where we could grow with a community. Asheville proved to be the perfect spot for us.

When we opened Greenhouse, we knew we wanted something more than just a place to take our appointments. We wanted to create a space that felt good for people to be in. We wanted to create a space to share with the community, to have community-driven events, and bring people together. We wanted to showcase artists in the community by hosting them in our space and promoting their work.

Our team is small and very special. We are family. Together, we make Greenhouse what it is. We've waited to do a GoFundMe because there are so many other businesses that are in need and have lost their entire spaces. I thought since we still have our space, we would be able to get back to work sooner. It's been 19 days since the storm and since we've taken a client in our space. I know this coming year will be hard and Greenhouse will take a big hit because of how many people in our community have been affected. Our clientele is this community. We all depend on each other not only for income but for comfort.

We will use the funds to support our team and to keep Greenhouse afloat during this difficult time. We will also continue to do all the things we do to support the community at Greenhouse and help our city rebuild. If you can help us during this time, it would mean the world to us.
