Hi everyone,
My name is Victoria and I’m humbly asking for donations to cover my mother’s medical expenses.
As some of you may know, my parents tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-April 2021. Fortunately, my dad only experienced minor symptoms such as headaches and fatigue. My mother (Gloria Ciraiz), however, gradually worsened until she was hospitalized on May 5th. The following week, she was stable and started to show signs of slowly recovering. On the morning of her birthday, May 15th, she became highly unstable and was intubated and sedated to keep her from worsening. As a result of her blood pressure dropping for an extended period of time, her kidneys aren’t functioning and will be needing dialysis until, hopefully, her kidney function returns. There have been even multiple instances in which she was so sick we feared she wouldn’t make it, but we haven’t lost hope because we know just how strong of a woman she is; every person that has met her would say the same.
My family and I have never been the type to ask for money because we have always had more than enough, even enough to share our blessings with others. I understand this pandemic has been difficult for everyone physically, emotionally, and especially financially, but we never imagined the extent to which this awful illness would impact our lives. We are humbly asking family and friends to help us cover the costs of her medical expenses like hospital stay, treatments, and dialysis, to name a few, so that we can focus on emotionally supporting her and each other during this difficult and grueling time in our lives.
In addition, we ask that you keep her in your thoughts and prayers and that you share this with as many others as you can. My mom is the kindest, strongest, and most caring person we know, and she means the world to us. To everyone who has ever met her and has had their life impacted by her, thank you for your love and support. For those of you who haven't, we can't wait for you to meet her. Thank you for your continued love and support.

Me llamo Victoria y pido humildemente donaciones para cubrir los gastos médicos de mi madre.
Como algunos de ustedes sabían, mis padres dieron positivo en la prueba de COVID-19 a mediados de abril de 2021. Afortunadamente, mi papá sólo experimentó síntomas menores como dolores de cabeza y fatiga. Sin embargo, mi madre (Gloria Ciraiz), empeoró gradualmente hasta que fue hospitalizada el 5 de mayo. A la semana siguiente, estaba estable y empezó a mostrar signos de recuperación lenta. La mañana de su cumpleaños, el 15 de mayo, se volvió muy inestable y fue entubada y sedada para evitar que empeorara. Como consecuencia de la caída de su presión arterial durante un largo periodo de tiempo, sus riñones no funcionan y necesitará hemodiálisis hasta que recupere su función renal. Incluso, han habido varias veces en las que ha estado tan enferma que temíamos que no sobreviviera,
pero no hemos perdido la esperanza porque sabemos lo fuerte que es como mujer; todas las personas que la han conocido dirían lo mismo.
Mi familia y yo nunca hemos sido de los que piden dinero porque siempre hemos tenido más que suficiente, incluso lo suficiente para compartir nuestras bendiciones con los demás. Entiendo que la pandemia ha sido difícil para todos, física, emocional y especialmente financieramente, pero nunca imaginamos hasta qué punto esta horrible enfermedad afectaría nuestras vidas. Pedimos humildemente a la familia y a los amigos que nos ayuden a cubrir los costos de sus gastos médicos para que podamos enfocarnos en apoyarla emocionalmente durante este difícil y agotador momento de nuestras vidas.
