Hi everyone!
This is Glacier. He was found wandering alone on the side of the road in Kasilof, Alaska with about thirty porcupine quills in his nose, a limp, and malnourished. Shortly after he was found, he was taken in by a small rescue called Saving SnowDogs. He has no microchip, but they were able to find three different people that had previously owned him. The first person had taken him to the pound years ago because they didn't have time for him; the second person had given him away pretty recently because they were moving; and the third person said that he kept running away, so they gave up and let him be free. He's around 8 years old and neutered. He's the sweetest boy, but humans have failed him miserably. He was taken to Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic and received an exam, fecal test, 3-year rabies & booster shots, pain meds, antibiotics, and an assessment on older injuries. His bill for his first visit was $261.30 and was covered by someone that called to donate. He's scheduled for another appointment in 2 weeks (June 13th) for a full oral exam, bad tooth removal, looking for any stray quills, and x-rays on his back right leg/hip. This bill will be between $1,900-$2,300. Unfortunately, none of his previous owners want to donate, and the rescue doesn’t have the funds at the moment to afford his next appointment. I’m creating this in hopes that some kind animal lovers are willing to help in any way they can. Please donate or share so we can hopefully raise enough to get this poor baby pain-free and on the road to full recovery!! Please call Twin Cities Veterinary Clinic, if you’d like to donate directly to his account. His account is under Thera Enderle. If anyone is interested in adopting this sweet boy, he's available!!
