Our beloved Gita has recently been diagnosed with stage four melanoma. What began as a lingering cough this summer led to her diagnosis in October, and she is now at the beginning of her treatment and healing journey. Her health is very delicate at this time, and her family has had to gently adapt to a new rhythm of life.

Britt has stepped away from work to be fully present for their children, June and Otis, as they walk through this tender and uncertain time together. Both children know about their mom’s illness, and Britt and Gita are being thoughtful and gentle in how and when they share updates — hoping to maintain as much stability, love, and comfort as possible for them.

Their family continues to draw strength and deep gratitude from the embrace of their community — especially their family, friends, and school, which hold June and Otis with such care each day.

As they face this incredibly difficult chapter, we are coming together to help ease some of the financial and emotional burdens that accompany it. Donations will help cover:
