Help Support Ginger Joyner's Battle Against Brain Cancer!

Dear Friends and Family,

I am reaching out to you with a plea for your support. My beautiful friend, Ginger Joyner, who has already shown immense strength in overcoming breast cancer, has now been diagnosed with Metastatic Brain Cancer (Stage 4).

At the end of September, Ginger was experiencing the feeling of fullness in her ears, and after several falls where she was unable to get herself up, she saw her primary doctor who prescribed steroids to treat a "severe case of allergies." In the meantime, and quite suddenly, she began to have muscle weakness, issues with coordination making it very difficult to walk, numbness on her left side, tightness on her left side, hearing loss, and cognitive issues that make it very difficult to focus on her job. After two rounds of steroids were unsuccessful, Ginger made an appointment with an ENT who did a ton of tests that ruled out many diagnoses and ordered an MRI. On 12/4, she had the MRI done and was sent immediately to the emergency room where she was diagnosed with Metastatic Brain Tumors. She was told she has 6 tumors and that they are inoperable.

On December 10th, she saw a neurosurgeon. He told her she has SEVEN brain tumors. There is only one that he would possibly consider surgery on, but because of it being so close to the brain stem, he feels the risks are too great. On December 12th, she saw an oncologist who ordered a CT scan of the torso and needs those results before planning Ginger's treatment. That CT has been done, and we will know those results at her next appointment with the oncologist on January 28th. On December 13th, she saw a radiation oncologist who absolutely does not want to wait for CT results and wanted Ginger to start immediately on an aggressive round of ten full brain radiation treatments.

As I write this, Ginger has undergone 7 of 10 rounds of radiation. While she is experiencing the side effects of radiation treatments along with all of the other symptoms she has been having, she is handling ALL OF THIS like the WARRIOR that she is! Her unwavering determination, resilience, and positivity have been amazing to witness and are an inspiration to everyone around her.

Unfortunately, the financial burden of battling cancer is absolutely overwhelming. That is why I have set up this fundraiser to ensure that Ginger can focus on her health and well-being. By donating, you will directly contribute to Ginger's fight against Metastatic Brain Cancer. Your generosity will make a difference in her life by helping to cover medical expenses and any other necessities that may arise. EVERY contribution, no matter how big or small, will help tremendously and be greatly appreciated.

I humbly ask you to share this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can create a network of support and ensure that Ginger and her family know they are not alone in this fight! Any words of encouragement, prayers, and positive thoughts will be a source of strength for her!

*If you are donating but would prefer 100% of your donation go directly to Ginger, you can donate via Venmo. @Ginger-Joyner-0317 or @Dawn-Gephart. All donations will be posted here on her campaign page. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
