Our beautiful, Ji’Ahanna (lovingly called Gigi), was born with a heart murmur and a hole in her heart. The original plan was to wait until she was between the ages of 2 and 4 to have surgery. Unfortunately, complications and health issues have made it necessary to move her open-heart surgery up, she had surgery September 25th, and is recovering at Mayo Rochester.

At such a young age, Gigi has already shown more strength and courage than most of us do in a lifetime. She is truly our little fighter.

Her mother, a single mom of two, will be by her side every step of the way. She will need to take at least six weeks off work to care for Gigi during recovery. While this is exactly where she needs to be — holding her daughter’s hand and helping her heal — it also brings a heavy financial burden. As a family, we are doing all we can to support them, but we are reaching out for help.

We are asking for your support, prayers, and kindness as Gigi begins this journey toward healing. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping cover living expenses, childcare, travel, meals, and the unexpected costs that come with a medical journey like this.
