- On Aug 13 2021 after being covid positive and almost 2 wks of painfull headaches, 2 ER trips, and a CT scan. A tumor 6cm is size(about the size of an egg) which was causing his brain to shift had been discovered. Something in our 26 yrs together we never imagined hearing. To be told Eugene has an aggressive brain cancer, Glioblastoma grade 4. Of the ones, he gets the worst. Eugene will now be starting chemo and radiation which is 5 days a week for about 6 weeks. We will be traveling about an hour each way from lompoc to santa barbara to do so. With many MRI's, procedures, chemo,radiation Eugene is unable to work for any foreseeable future. If you know him, then you know that to not be able to get back in the kitchen, where he has worked since he was 15, is absolutely devastating to him. So this new and unfortunate journey that we now hav on us is going to be a hard one and uncertainty but I know Eugene is a fighter. Let's all show him some love and support.
