Help support Marty’s FIP treatment
Donation protected
Marty is our 1.5-year-old grey tabby and a much-loved rescue. He’s curious, chatty, and full of personality. He’s been part of our family since he was a kitten.
A few weeks ago, Marty started showing signs that something was wrong: low energy, a reduced appetite, and significant weight loss. After several vet visits, we learned he has FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), a serious, rare illness that used to be considered fatal. Thankfully, there’s now an antiviral treatment (GS-441524) that has helped many cats recover - but it’s expensive and lasts 84 days.
So far, we are two weeks into treatment and Marty is responding well. He’s eating more, gaining weight, and showing signs of feeling better. We're doing everything we can, but the costs are adding up quickly. Between medication, vet visits, blood work, and follow-up care, we’re expecting to spend over $2,500.
We’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover the cost of Marty’s treatment. Any support, whether a donation or a share, would mean a lot to us.
Once our $2,500 is reached we will be donating every extra dollar to a local cat rescue who was truly life-saving for Marty during this incredibly tough time. Heidi's knowledge regarding FIP, treatment plans, and attention to detail Is truly the reason why Marty stands an amazing fighting chance!
Thank you for reading and supporting our little guy! We’ll keep this page updated as he continues his recovery.
