Fausto is a 35 year old father whose world revolves around his two boys. Everything he does is driven by his love for them and his desire to provide the best life possible for his family. Known for his contagious laugh, quick sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality, Fausto is the kind of person who can make anyone smile and leave a lasting impression. He is hardworking, selfless, and always willing to lend a helping hand, making him a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and father.
On June 12, 2026, Fausto's life, and our family's lives, changed forever.
After a long week of work, Fausto was returning home, excited to spend time with his boys. On the way, he planned to pick up pizza for them. When he realized he may have left his wallet behind, he safely pulled his car onto the shoulder of Town Line Road in East Northport. He walked to the trunk of his vehicle to check his duffel bag, where he thought his wallet might be. In a matter of moments, he was struck by another vehicle.
Fausto was rushed to the emergency room and underwent emergency surgery. Despite the efforts of his medical team, the severity of his injuries left doctors with no choice but to amputate his leg. He also suffered serious injuries to his head and face, leaving him with a long and difficult road to recovery.
As Fausto's niece, I have had the privilege of growing up with such an incredible uncle. I have watched him be an amazing father, son, brother, and friend. Seeing someone who has always been there for others face such a devastating challenge has been heartbreaking for our entire family.
Today, Fausto is fighting with everything he has. Surrounded by the love and support of family and friends, he continues to face each day with strength and determination. His two boys remain his greatest motivation as he faces the challenges ahead.
The road to recovery will be long. Fausto is expected to undergo additional surgeries, extensive rehabilitation, physical therapy, ongoing medical treatment, and the difficult process of learning to navigate life with a prosthetic limb. At just 35 years old, he now faces challenges that will impact every aspect of his life for years to come.
As Fausto’s niece and the organizer of this fundraiser, I am raising these funds on his behalf. Fausto is in the process of being added as the beneficiary of this fundraiser, and all funds raised will be transferred directly to him and his family. These funds will help cover medical expenses, rehabilitation and physical therapy, prosthetic and mobility needs, household expenses, and other costs associated with his recovery. The physical, emotional, and financial burden is overwhelming, and many of these expenses will continue long after he leaves the hospital.
Fausto has overcome every obstacle life has placed in front of him through hard work, determination, and his love for his family. While the road ahead will not be easy, we believe that with the support of this community, he can continue moving forward one step at a time.
