On November 28, 2021 our sweet Fatimah Aliyyah Nailah Shabazz was called home while being surrounded by friends and family. We are at peace knowing she was doing what she loved most… playing volleyball. Unfortunately, November 19, 2021 during a volleyball game Fatimah came off the court complaining of a headache. It was soon revealed that she had suffered from a brain aneurysm. After a hard fought week she was called home to be our guardian angel.
Fatimah graduated from Northwest High school in 2017 where she was an athlete on the volleyball, basketball, and track team. From 2017-2021 Fatimah attend North Carolina A&T State University where she was on scholarship to play volleyball. She graduated magna cum laude from NCAT in 2021 with her Bachelor’s degree and chose to continue her collegiate experience and schooling at NCAT where she was studying to get her Master’s in Pre-Law. In her time at A&T she helped bring the volleyball team to a NIVC tournament and winning the MEAC Conference Championship.
We have received many requests from others who loved Fatimah asking how they can help. We set this up for any donations or prayers given to Fatimah and her family. Fatimah had such a big heart and loved her family, friends, and teammates. We will always remember her sassy attitude, infectious laugh, and competitive spirit. As you can imagine this is a shock for everyone so at this time we ask for the family to have their privacy. Thank you for all the love and support. AGGIE PRIDE #9
