Help Support Fastpitch Player Shiloh Jones

Donation protected
Norman North softball player Shiloh Jones has been in and out of the hospital since Oct of 2024 when she was injured during a softball game. Shiloh and her family have been traveling back and forth to Texas for treatment. She currently see's 3 specialist in Texas, 2 specialist in OKC, does PT twice a week, OT once a week and goes to counseling once a week and has had several ER visits. PTO has run out so when mom takes off for all of the appts, travel and hospital stays it is unpaid. Texas dr's are out of network with her insurance. Any donations will help the family with medical, travel and everyday living expenses. If you are unable to donate we ask that you continue praying for Shiloh's complete healing physically and emotionally

In Oct 2024 Shiloh was injured during a high school softball game. At the time of injury she was admitted into the hospital for a week. The initial diagnosis was a fracture of the spinous process. At that time she complained of shoulder pain but was told it was deferred pain from the neck injury and it was expected. Shi spent the next couple months trying to heal. In January she was still experiencing pain in her shoulder. They said she needed to start PT but released her to play sports. She did PT twice a week from Jan to March. By March Shiloh's pain was getting worse and she started to experience an electrical shock feeling in her arm, fingers and hand. In April she was admitted into the hospital for a week because she lost the function of her right hand completely, after she had dry needling done. After several test and doctors later they diagnosed her with CRPS and said that it was a result from her neck injury and there was nothing they could do for her. Her parents and her doctor didn't agree with this diagnosis so they sent her records to other Drs. She continued to do PT twice a week and at the end of May she was admitted in Children's hospital in Dallas. She spent a week at the hospital in Dallas. They said that she had a brachial plexus injury that occurred in Oct, has thoracic outlet syndrome, nerve damage at c-5, c-6,c-7 and c-8 and has median nerve damage from the dry needling. They told us they didn't know how she would heal or if she would heal. She has had several ER visits as Shi continues to get worse with her pain levels off the chart. She gets an electrical shock feeling in her shoulder (she says it feels like firecrackers exploding in her shoulder) that goes down her arm, into her elbow, down to her hand in her pinky and thumb. She says the electrical shock feeling throbs in the upper arm, she has pain in the elbow and can't touch it, numbness and tingling in the hand, a feeling of being bitten by fire ants in her hand. She is never out of pain but has some good days with this pain coming and going but she is having more days of no relief and extreme pain. She is currently trying to still go to school and function as normal as possible but with 3 to 4 appts a week that's hard. This this has taken a toll on her physically and mentally as her life as she knew it is different and waking up and going to sleep in pain is something most adults can't live with. Shi has regained function of most of the hand. She still doesn't have function of the thumb and minimal function of the pointer finger. We ask even if you can't donate that you continue to pray for complete healing physical and mentally for Shiloh. Pray for Shiloh's brother as he has been an amazing support for his sister and his life has completely changed with Shiloh's injury. The family thanks you for your prayers, they are truly appreciated and thanks you for any help you can offer.
