Help Support Family Through an Unexpected Situation

Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,

We’re reaching out on behalf of an incredible family, our dear friends Jorge and Aaliyah, who are going through a deeply challenging chapter and navigating an incredibly difficult and emotional time. Aaliyah was recently life-flighted to Aurora, Colorado, where she gave birth to their baby, two months early. Thanks to the quick action of her care team, her beautiful baby girl arrived safely but will now require at least a six-week stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

This sudden and critical situation has uprooted their lives. With three other young daughters and the need to remain close to their newborn, the entire family must now temporarily relocate to Aurora to be near the hospital, far from their home, their community, and their support system here in Thermopolis. The emotional toll is immense as the other girls are separated from them right now and staying with family; and this crisis brings mounting costs with the financial burden growing by the day: including but not limited to, bills stacking up at home, temporary housing in Aurora, meals, lost income, transportation, and ongoing medical care needs. While they are doing everything in their power to stay strong for their family, the financial strain is real. This family is facing expenses they never could have anticipated. Before this, Jorge was working two jobs to keep his family afloat, Aaliyah was also working and now they have zero income while with their baby. They are resilient, loving, and devoted, but right now, they need their village.

We’re asking for your support, no matter how big or small, to help ease the weight on their shoulders so they can focus on what matters most: trying to keep some stability for their girls, healing, bonding, and bringing their beautiful baby girl back home.

All donations, large or small, will go directly toward helping them stay close to their baby and meet basic living expenses until they’re all home together again.
