ICE DRO Ronald R. PHILLIPS (EOW 07/26/2020)

On July 26, 2020, 49 yr old, ICE Deportation Officer (DO) Ronald R. PHILLIPS (Ronnie) lost his over one-month battle with COVID-19.  Ronnie began his law enforcement career with the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office in Western Pennsylvania on August 03, 2007 as a Deputy Sheriff until leaving that agency on July 08, 2011 to enter federal law enforcement and join the ranks of the U.S. Border Patrol as a Border Patrol Agent.  Ron served as Border Patrol Agent in Naco (near Tucson, AZ) and Ajo stations (2 hrs south of Phoenix) before transferring to ICE as a DO in January 05, 2020.

Ron is survived by his wife, Julissa; his son, Jack; his step-sons Damien and Joel; his parents Ron Sr. and Anne; his sister, Jodie and a close core group of friends that didn’t consider him a friend, but a close brother.

Ron was always the life of the party and his laugh was infectious.  Ron loved God, his family, friends, co-workers and country. The loss of Ron will leave a huge void, but he will continue to live on in all those that knew him.

Please pray for God to provide peace and strength to his family during this extremely difficult time.
