Help Support Fabio in his Medical Journey

Dear friends and family of the Freyre crew. Fabio Freyre has been wrestling with a number of health issues pertaining to his heart, kidney, gallbladder, a critical hernia, as well as other medical issues. Since January of this year, he has been in multiple hospitals across central Virginia in order to receive the necessary care. This has been taxing for both him and his wife, Sue. They are trying to remain hopeful, however every week seems to bring about a new complication towards a full recovery. He has undergone multiple operations in order to get well and more operations are still to come.

We (his kids) have setup a GoFundMe in order to help offset some of the financial burden that this has caused. Fabio and Sue had to pause their work at Liberty University for the Spring semester in order to provide the attention needed towards his health. In addition to medical expenses, much of his time has been at UVA Hospital, which requires travel expenses for Sue to visit and be with her husband. Additionally, hospital and in-home services ranging from Clinical Nursing care to Rehab assistance will be needed as he attempts to regain his strength after undergoing a multitude of procedures.

Fabio has served in many roles: a loving husband, a wonderful dad and grandpa, a caring professor and counselor, and a trusted resource you can go to for spiritual care. He has the biggest heart for serving others to go along with his quirky sense of humor. He loves teaching and seeing young people reach their academic and vocational goals. His impact has touched the lives of many people, especially his family and the staff and students at Liberty University. God has been faithful through it all and we are grateful for the hope we have in Jesus.
