Help Support Fabian's Relocation Following Hardship

Our Bad House friend deserves a safe and good home.

At the start of the New Year, our friend Fabian Lelay's (@rocketsandpens, BadHouse RPG) family received a notice to evict from their property in New York. With all other options exhausted, Fabian is looking to gather funds to relocate to a more stable living situation.

Fabs provides the timeline of events leading up to this unexpected hardship, beginning 2023:

On April 10 to 12 of 2023, father was admitted to a hospital in Jersey City for respiratory complications. It got worse by the day and ultimately by the 13th he lost his battle with the illness. My family later learned that his doctor had informed him of his 10 year life expectancy from his first cardiac arrest in 2014.

Due to my father's sudden passing, related finances, and finding out about funds withheld from my family following my father's passing, I was edged into a $10k debt to stay afloat.

In January of 2024, my only option was to move in with my mother. Since then, we've experienced countless instances of power shut-offs and late fees due to unpaid balances in my fam. On December 29, 2025, my family was served a letter notifying us to evict the premises by March 17, 2026.

When asking my mother of what our next move is, I was denied any solution of comfort towards the situation. I am currently left in the dark as well as both my siblings and my niece. This comes along with the constant prejudice, racism, and homophobia my family displays on a daily basis being “proud Republicans”.

I am acting now regardless of the eviction as I can no longer live in this situation and maintain my mental health.

Grief takes its toll in ways we cannot plan for, cannot predict. Grief has no concept of time.

Fabian is seeking our help to gather $10,000 to safely relocate to more affordable housing in Philadelphia, while applying for steady employment, unless a suitable domicile is found in New York.

Any contribution is appreciated.
