On July 23rd, our lives changed in an instant when my daughter, EverLeigh, unexpectedly went into cardiac arrest. Since that day, she has been in the children’s hospital and our world has revolved around getting our girl healthy and home again. After extensive testing, we learned that EverLeigh has CPVT caused by a rare CALM1 gene mutation, a condition that puts her at risk for dangerous and life-threatening heart rhythms. She is now undergoing heart surgery to have an ICD placed to help protect her from another cardiac event.

As her mom, there is nowhere I'd rather be than by her side. Unfortunately, that has meant missing a significant amount of work while also trying to care for my two other children and keep everything at home going. The loss of income, medical expenses, household bills, transportation, meals and other unexpected costs are quickly adding up. Any support will help relieve some of the financial stress and allow me to focus on EverLeigh’s surgery and recovery without constantly worrying about how I’m going to keep everything afloat at home.
