On April 18th, our brothers Ethan and Neo were involved in a serious ATV accident while on vacation in Oklahoma. During the crash, Neo was thrown from the vehicle while Ethan rolled with it. Thankfully, Neo escaped with only minor injuries. Ethan, however, suffered severe injuries, including fractures to his mid spine.
Ethan has since undergone spinal surgery and is currently unable to walk and is partially paralyzed in his lower body due to a spinal cord injury, though he still has sensation in his legs. Doctors have expressed concern that he may not regain the ability to walk. He is only 16 years old and loves wrestling, working out, and was looking forward to competing in flag football this summer. He is outgoing, hardworking, and caring, and our family is committed to supporting him through the long recovery ahead. He remains hospitalized in Oklahoma as he continues treatment and recovery. He will require long-term rehabilitation and ongoing care.
Because the accident happened far from home, our parents have been in Oklahoma caring for Ethan for the past three weeks and are currently unable to work. Doctors do not believe it is safe for Ethan to travel back to Wisconsin yet, creating significant financial strain on our family.
We are currently facing significant expenses, and our goal is to raise $50,000 to help cover:
* Medical bills and surgery costs
* Rehabilitation and long-term recovery care
* Transportation to safely bring Ethan home
* Temporary living expenses while in Oklahoma
* Lost income and ongoing support for our family back home
Any donation, prayer, encouraging words, or shares of this fundraiser would mean so much to our family. Every act of kindness helps support Ethan’s recovery and gives us hope as we move forward together.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
