Hi everyone!

I’m raising additional funds for my research trip to South Africa. This project explores the lasting impacts of apartheid and its connections to present-day social justice movements. Understanding how historical systems of oppression continue to shape the lives of Black South Africans is crucial in envisioning what liberation looks like in a post-apartheid world.

I leave for my trip on April 11th and I’m seeking to raise $650 to help cover travel within the country and any additional materials I may need while away (chargers, suitcase, travel insurance, etc.).

This trip will allow me to engage with local communities, gather firsthand narratives, and contribute to ongoing conversations about justice and healing.
