Hello, my name is Jon Jarvis and the beautiful woman in the picture with me is my wife of 10 years Erica. She has terminal Ovarian Cancer and has battled it for two and a half years. She has been through all of the treatment options that modern medicine has to offer only to have none work successfully. A month ago we were sent home with a number to hospice and was told that she was going to die from this disease that she has bravely waged war on for so long. When she was first diagnosed she was working full time with full benefits at her job. Then the chemo started and she couldn't keep up her work load with her weaking body and mind. The chemo was vicious,she had to stop and have family and friends take care of her at home. And with the loss of her job ,so to was the loss of her insurance. I own a small business and was just getting started at the time. We thought that she would never get something like this, "this happens to other people"  is what we said" in the hospital. Certainly not to a healthy 38 year old. With no reason to have a life insurance policy, because we are young and healthy we haven't even thought to do that. We did look into it after the diagnosis but no one would insure someone with cancer. Fast forward to now and we have a stack of bill collection notices from various medical groups and a inpending funeral cost to deal with.  When I married Erica I instantly became a step dad to two wonderful children. One boy who is a steller athlete and student and one girl who is a light that has changed me forever. Now the boy is going into his senior year of high school with hopes of getting into college with a scholarship for sports and the girl is trying to make it in the real world with a full time job, while at the same time dealing with being high functioning special needs. I am taking responsibility for her and making sure she becomes a productive member of society while living at home. Even though we couldn't have any more children (5 miscarriages), I have been a Dad for ten years and I wouldn't stop now. Please donate for Erica and for us. Thank you. And God bless.
