In Loving Memory of Bentley

We are deeply saddened to share that my best friend's beloved dog Bentley, a three-year-old beagle mix, has passed away after bravely battling end stage kidney failure that was extremely unexpected. Bentley was more than just a pet, he was a cherished member of Erica and Ronny's family, and a certified emotional support animal for them. They rescued him from Heaven Sent shelter in New Jersey, and from the very beginning, he truly lived up to his name.

Bentley brought immeasurable joy, healing, and laughter into their families lives. He comforted them through their darkest moments, especially after the loss of Erica's father, and helped both his human and canine family members through grief and anxiety. With his gentle soul, goofy charm, and even his enthusiastic dance moves at family gatherings, Bentley touched everyone he met.

Despite their best efforts to keep him alive, Bentley’s condition progressed too quickly that they made the extremely difficult decision to put him down. Though we are heartbroken, we are forever grateful for the time we had with him. His love, loyalty, and spirit will remain with us always.

We are writing with an urgent and heartfelt plea for financial assistance after his passing. Erica and Ronny are now left with a medical bill totaling over $11,000. They never expected his life to be taken so soon.

Rest in peace, sweet Bent. You were, and always will be, Heaven Sent.
