Emily Williams and Drew Gianfortone, live-in partners and students at San Francisco State University, lost their home and all of their belongings in a devastating building fire early this morning. Thankfully, Emily, Drew, and their two cats, Getz and Nelliel, made it out safely. Unfortunately, everything else was destroyed.

This apartment was Emily’s and Drew's full-time home. Emily does not have family in the area to support her through this crisis. They are now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives while managing finals season and caring for their pets.

Emily is the devoted and caring newly elected Chapter President of Alpha Gamma Delta, and Drew is a proud and involved newly initiated member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. Both are widely known for showing up for others, no matter the situation. As a sister of Alpha Gamma Delta, I can personally say that I have never seen anyone care for people the way Emily does, and Drew brings genuine kindness to every interaction he has. Even in the middle of this crisis, when I called Emily, she remained high-spirited and optimistic, despite having just lost everything.

I am now calling on the community to come together and raise support for these two as they work to rebuild their lives and replace their essentials. Any contribution would mean the world to them and their loved ones during this difficult time. Thank you so much.
