Hi, my name is Kelsey and I'm here to ask for help for a fellow Cape Bretoner.

Leah and I have known each other since we were children, and although we haven't kept in touch as we got older, I want to make sure she has the help her and Ellie need at this very difficult time in their life.

Like me, Leah doesn't want to ask for help, but when a child is in need, I found out first hand that we help the child no matter what, letting the parent breathe a sigh of relief when that help show up without being asked. So let's help Leah breathe a little easier and help her focus all her energy into her baby girl.

Leah's sweet Ellie is only 18 months old and was diagnosed with Leukemia a few weeks ago. As a cancer warrior mom myself, I know how incredibly hard this journey can be. It is even harder when you have the worry of how bills are going to be paid. No parent should have to go through their child's cancer diagnosis wondering what they will do after treatment ends.

I hope that we can show Ellie and her mom Leah the same support we were shown in our time of need.
