Help Support Ellen's Medical Care and Recovery
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help on behalf of my beloved grandmother, Ellen. On October 31, 2024, our lives changed forever when she suffered a debilitating stroke. After months in the hospital fighting to regain her strength, she was finally able to return home with hope in her heart for a full recovery.
Unfortunately, that recovery was short-lived. In early January, she was hospitalized again—this time for COVID-19 and pneumonia. While fighting these new illnesses, she suffered a second stroke and was diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Failure with Hypoxia. She lost function on the right side of her body and has been wheelchair-bound ever since. After months of intense rehabilitation, doctors confirmed that the loss of mobility is permanent.
Despite her fighting spirit and our hopes, Ellen now requires full-time care. She has been accepted into a skilled nursing facility where she receives the attention and support she needs for her complex medical condition.
Over the past several months, I’ve done everything I can to be by her side—to advocate, support, and comfort her through this incredibly difficult chapter. But now, we’re asking for help. The medical bills, long-term care costs, and ongoing rehabilitation are more than our family can manage on our own.
Ellen has always had a heart bigger than this world. She gave her last dollar to those in need, offered shelter without hesitation, and fed anyone who walked through her door with a warm, home-cooked Polish meal. She lived her life treating everyone like family—and now, she needs the same compassion returned.
If you are able, any donation—big or small—would mean the world to us. Every bit helps ease the burden and ensures Ellen receives the care she deserves. And if you’re unable to donate, we ask that you please share her story and keep her in your prayers.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
With love and gratitude,
