if you're reading this, you're likely a Friend of The Deadlands. Which means you're a big fan of E. Catherine Tobler, our editor in chief since issue 01.

you may or may not already know , but Elise suffered septic shock after cancer was removed from her leg (this past March), turning what had already been months of particularly difficult chemo treatments into a very long hospital stay. She was admitted in mid-August and she's still there now, recovering. (Hi Elise )

we are turning to you to help. We want to lift some of the weight from Elise's shoulders, to give her some help paying bills and necessities, so she can take time and space to recover. We'd love to see the community come together and chip in, whatever you can, toward helping Elise.

usually we run our annual The Deadlands fundraiser in October but THIS *Octobler* we encourage you instead to donate to this Go Fund Me to help one of our favorite skeletons get back to her best.

everything you donate goes 100% to Elise (minus GFM administrative fees, probably), and all of that will be put to good use.
