Elijah, a 7th grade student at Ocoee Middle School, was just a kid who liked to stay up all night, play video games, ride his bike & go swimming. Last night, his entire life changed. Elijah was diagnosed with Nephronophthisis.  This is a hereditary condition which affects the kidneys, & that Elijah & his family had no knowledge of. Elijah has begun the necessary steps to prepare for a transplant, but until he can receive one he will be on dialysis. Although some costs are covered by insurance, there will be many out of pocket expenses that will create a massive financial burden for the family. These expenses will add up quickly & continue indefinitely.  At the present time Angie will have to be out of work to help care for Elijah, & we would like to help relieve the burden of expenses for them so she can focus on his well being.
