Our dear friend Edward had a horrible snowboarding accident on January 7th 2017. He was airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and was in critical condition with bleeding in the brain. With so little brain activity, his family and the doctors were not optimistic, nevertheless, Edward was rushed into surgery.
An abundance of prayers and cries were lifted up by family and friends for God to bring him healing.
After three long hours, Edward made it out of surgery. But the prayers for God to guide the Surgeons hands now go to prayers for the coma Edward is trapped in.
We know and have seen that our God is a God of miracles with a powerful and loving hand of healing who hears the cries of His people. And with that faith, Edward's brain activity began to climb. Upon arrival he was a 4 on the GCS scale (a 3 being no brain activity). His  family and the doctors feared for his life. Now out of surgery, his brain activity has risen to an 8, and we are rejoicing with what we are hearing. Though still in a coma, we have hope in Gods continued healing and Edwards amazing stubborness to not leave his beautiful wife and three precious girls.
"I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you." 2 kings 20:5b
 Please continue to pray for Edwards healing, for he has not reached the end. He is still not conscious and we are unaware of the extent of the damage. 

Though we are amazed by God's goodness and grace to the Whitten family for the progress Edward has received through such a life threatening experience, I'm sure you, like myself, can't imagine starting this new year with something so tragic.
We've all had medical bills and can sympathize with the pretty pennies it will cost Edward and Ashley after this process. They cannot move him from the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for at least another three weeks!
A whole lot of miles and gas will be put in by Ashley and the girls to go back and forth from home to the hospital visiting Edward for three to four weeks. Yikes! $$$
With the breadwinner in healing, the lovely ladies will need funding for groceries and whatever everyday necessities. More $$$
And if the Lord's grace abounds and Edward makes a complete recovery, they will have more medical bills for physical therapy, (possibly learning how to speak and walk depending on his healing). And more $$$
Do the math. $$$$$$$$$
