We kindly ask for your support during this challenging period for my niece, Eden, and her loving parents. At just 10 months old, Eden was diagnosed with the rare genetic disease Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis (PFIC), which necessitates a liver transplant due to her liver's inability to function. Since the diagnosis, our lives have been turned upside down, filled with biopsies, MRI scans, hospital stays, specialized formula, missed work, and the demanding commute to Columbia University Medical Center in NYC, all of which have imposed significant physical, financial and emotional strains on Eden, Rich and Amber.
During this trying time, we hope to alleviate the burden of finances for Eden's parents, allowing them to focus solely on her journey to recovery. We are deeply grateful for the incredible support of our family and friends, but we are reaching out to everyone who can lend a hand. Rich and Amber are exceptional individuals and parents who would go to great lengths to help others. They are relentless in their pursuit of the best possible outcome for Eden.
As they say, challenging times often find the kindest souls, but we are fortunate to have a strong support system that will help them through this. We humbly request your prayers, words of encouragement, and positive thoughts. Every moment counts, and we deeply appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this. We understand that times are financially challenging for many, but any monetary assistance would significantly alleviate the stress they are feeling right now. Thank you for your support and may you be blessed for helping our family during this difficult journey.
