On November 18, our world was turned upside down when my dad (Ed Sloan) was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. What began as a fight for treatment has quickly become a matter of time. We have now been told that he has only days left with us.

My dad is a loving husband, father, papa and the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He has always worked hard to provide for our family and put others before himself. Watching someone so strong be taken so quickly has been heartbreaking beyond words.

During this time, my mom has stopped working to be by his side and care for him around the clock. As we prepare to say goodbye, we are facing the overwhelming emotional and financial burden that comes with end-of-life care and funeral expenses. With my mom unable to work, we are asking for help to ensure she can focus on being with my dad without the added stress of how these costs will be covered.

All funds raised will go toward my dad’s funeral expenses and to help support my mom as she navigates this unimaginable loss.
