Our community is coming together for a very special family who is facing something no parent should ever have to face. On Friday, August 28th, 2026, Jamie and Kiera Fife received news that any parent would be terrified to hear - their adorable 9 year old son Easton has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Easton is currently at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. At this time, his tumour pathology is unknown, and so is what the road ahead will look like. He is awaiting surgery with Jamie and Kiera by his side, taking things one moment at a time.

The Fife family has given so much to our community. Jamie and Kiera have had an incredible impact on so many families through their roles as educators, coaches, mentors, and simply by being the people they are. They have been a source of support for countless others, and now it is our turn to support them.

We have received an overwhelming number of messages from people asking how they can help, donate, or contribute in any way possible. While so much remains unknown, one thing we know for certain is that this journey will come with unexpected expenses - from hotels and meals in Toronto, to travel, parking, time away from work, and many other costs that come with having a child hospitalized away from home.

Our goal is simply to help take a little bit of that financial weight off Jamie and Kiera's shoulders so they can focus on what matters - Easton and their family. Easton is a vibrant, active kid who loves sports and being active. He is a member of the St. Thomas Stars Hockey Association and Fingal Storm fastball. Aside from sports, he's the best 9 year old euchre player most of us will ever meet in our lives - and trust me, he's not afraid to show you his skill (and beat you).
