Hi my name is Casey. I'm making this go fund me in hopes to get the communities help in helping two of the best people I know. Two days ago, Earl started having pain in his shoulder. About 2 hours later, the pain became severe and Jackie called 911. He was taken to Clearfield hospital by ambulance. When there, they found that an artery in his neck was clogged. He couldn't see right, was vomiting and was not able to stand. They life flighted him to Altoona hospital. Once at UPMC, tests showed that he had a tear in his artery and a blood clot in his brain. The worst part of the brain you can have a blood clot im. It was in the part that controls breathing, walking, etc. He was having a stroke. Yesterday morning, the doctor said Jackie needed to make the decision whether or not to proceed with surgery that could save his life or let him have another stroke which would take his life. So she signed the papers for surgery and he had 5 inches of blood clot removed from the torn artery up into his brain. He made it through surgery by the grace of God and is trying to recover. He has a long road ahead of him. Right now, we are watching for swelling. He still needs another surgery to put a stent in the artery going to his brain in a couple of weeks. If he swells in the next couple of days, he will have to have a bigger surgery to once again, save his life. He's still critical but he's still with us which is the biggest blessing! I wanted to create this to try to ease the burden for them. Earl works 6 days a week to provide for his family. He will be off work for a while and might not be able to return to what he was doing as a mechanic before. Jackie will be by side and will be missing some work too.
