Welcome to Donovan’s journey. ❤️

When 2025 began, we never would’ve guessed the things that we would be forced to endure.. More importantly what Donovan, the sweetest 12 year old boy, would be put through. It’s already been unimaginable to wrap our heads around. One of those “this isn’t really happening, right?” moments. Something we wish that no one ever had to go through.. Certainly no child.

Donovan is such an empathetic and loving kid. He adores animals (especially his pet tortoise Rupert), Legos, video games, robots, 3D printing, camping, and fishing. He was just living life as a normal kid. Until he started to lose the feeling in his hands..

Mid January, Donovan was diagnosed with a cancerous mass in his back called Ewing (Yoo-ing) Sarcoma. After staying 8 days in the hospital, he was released and will begin Chemotherapy treatments January 31st. His treatments will continue through August (at least), and more scans and tests will follow. As well as periods of Chemotherapy and Radiation together. His Dad never left the hospital the entire stay. He wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Your donation helps pay for lost wages during the many hospital stays we will have in the coming months. While Donovan’s Dad stays by his side constantly, I (his Mother) travel back and forth from home daily to give our other two kids some normalcy and love as well. Your donation will help cover gas so I can see my boy every single day. Even on the days he can’t be home. Other possible things the funds will help our family to cover are groceries, bills, medications, and activities that might bring Donovan a little joy during this incredibly painful time. Every little bit helps as well as sharing this story with others.

This thing is curable and we’re ready to obliterate it! We can’t express enough how much we truly appreciate all of the kind words and love during this unthinkable time.
