On Tuesday July 7, Donovan was taken to the hospital early in the morning around 9:30-10am. He believed he was sick thinking he had a fever but he was very cold. Due to COVID-19 his parents were not allowed to be with him. From what the doctors said, his potassium was very low. He was in and out of sleep for most of the time. On July 8, around 3-3:30am we received a called saying he went into cardiac arrest. Once the mother and oldest son got to the hospital the doctors were preforming compressions on him but he never woke up. Donovan was pronounced dead at 4:10am.
Donovan Aviles was an amazing talented individual. As some people may know he went through this journey of expressing who he truly was which is Donovan, and he was truly happy. Donovan had many plans such as attending his dream school Berkeley, getting his career, having his top surgery and planning to travel. Although Donovan passed away to soon, he accomplished many things such as honor student, tennis player, and an artist. He was really truly happy in his last moments. Donovan was the type of person to put others before himself and always be there for someone in need. He cared a lot about his family and friends. People may know Donovan went through a lot in life with personal issues but he was a strong individual that managed to put a smile on his face every time, which brighten the room and brought positive energy wherever he went. Donovan was a son, brother, uncle, friend, and protector. He will truly be missed.
