As many of you know, my uncle, Don Mills (aka Donnie Dodge) has been hospitalized since the beginning of September with a severe case of the West Nile Virus.  He has suffered from serious side effects of the virus such as some paralysis, speech and breathing difficulties, and extreme weakness.  To date there has been little progress in his condition.  The road to recovery is going to be a lengthy one.  It could take months, it could take years.  Once he has made some progress and is fit, he will be transferred to the Foothills to begin rehabilitation.  However, at this point it is still unknown as to how much he will recover and what types of supports he may need once discharged.

While in the hospital there are still bills to be paid, there's numerous trips from Nanton to Calgary for his wife Lisa so that he has support  and potential medical expenses after his discharged.  The last thing my Uncle needs at this time is to be worrying about finances.

If you know my Uncle Don at all, you know that he is a workaholic who doesn't ask for much, especially help.  This is where you all come in.....

My uncle has always given so much to those around him...his family, friends, community and the sport of rodeo (especially the future rodeo stars) ...now is our time to return that support!
