Help Support Diane Kane in her Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted readers,

As a longtime friend and co-worker, I am reaching out on behalf of Diane Kane along with the support of her family to raise funds to offset the expenses she has incurred while battling pancreatic cancer. Diane is a dedicated teacher, a loving mother, an aunt, and a cherished friend to many in the Frederick, Maryland community and her hometown of Bethel, Connecticut. She was diagnosed with this aggressive form of cancer last spring, a shocking and devastating blow that has turned her world upside down.

Since June, Diane has been staying with family in Connecticut to be closer to the medical care she desperately needs. She has been traveling to Yale New Haven Hospital for regular chemotherapy and radiation treatments, all while maintaining a brave face and staying strong for her family and friends. Despite the strength and resilience she has shown, the road ahead is long. Diane is preparing for a major surgery to remove the tumor, followed by an extensive recovery period in the hospital. The surgery is good news as many with pancreatic cancer do not have this option. It gives her loved ones great hope for a positive outcome, a recovery from this terrible disease.

As many of you know, the costs of cancer treatments can be astronomical. Diane is not only facing growing medical bills but also the added expenses of traveling back and forth to Yale from her family home, along with gas, airfare, and hotel stays so her children can be with her as she fights. These financial burdens are compounding the stress of an already challenging situation.

Diane has always been the first to lend a hand to others, both in her classroom and her community. She has touched the lives of so many students and colleagues with her kindness, dedication, and passion for teaching. Now, it’s our turn to give back and show her the same support.

We are asking for any contribution—large or small—that will help ease Diane’s financial strain and allow her to focus on her recovery. Every donation will go directly to covering medical bills, travel expenses, and the daily needs of her family as they navigate this difficult journey together.

Please consider donating to help Diane as she fights to overcome this cancer and return to her role as a beloved teacher, mother, and friend in Frederick. Your support will mean the world to her, and any donation will bring her one step closer to the strength and healing she needs.

Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time.
