As many of you may already know, Denise has been battling cancer for the past year. Late last year she was Diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), which are conditions that can occur when the blood-forming cells in the bone marrow become abnormal. This leads to low numbers of one or more types of blood cells. MDS is a form of cancer that requires a bone marrow transplant in order to recover from the abnormal blood-forming cells in the bone marrow. The treatments Denise has been receiving include chemotherapy, blood transfusions and an upcoming donor stem cell transplant. She will be getting this transplant starting the beginning of October of this year. Unfortunately her insurance does not cover the four month stay in Seattle that she will require to recover from her transplant. We would be beyond thankful and tremendously grateful for any and all donations. We would also be thankful for any information about additional fundraising resources. Please keep Denise and her family in your prayers during this time. Thank you!
