- Hi everyone, I started this Gofundme for my brother-in-law Dee. Around a week ago Dee was fishing in Alaska. He had a fish on the line that suddenly got off the line, and the fishing line and hook snapped back to his face, embedding the fishing hook deep into his eyeball. He had to be life flighted to a bigger hospital that could better handle an injury like this. He had to have emergency surgery to remove the hook from his eye. Doctors are unsure if he will ever see from that eye again; some doctors are unsure if he will even be able to keep his eye. Many more doctors visits are needed, and future surgeries as well. Dee will be having another surgery 8/29/23 because his retina has started to detach. The medical bills are stacking up very quickly. Dee has a wife named Beth and a 1 year old boy named Pierce. Dee can’t work or drive currently and the prognosis of when he can return to work is also uncertain. I want to help raise some funds for him and his family so he can take some of the stress he is feeling about the financial side of this accident and focus his energy on healing.
