Help Support Debbie Stubblefield’s Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
On Wednesday, June 25th, our beloved mom Debbie Stubblefield, suffered a severe ischemic stroke that changed her life, and ours. The stroke required emergency surgery to remove a large blood clot in her brain. While doctors acted quickly, the damage had already been done.
Debbie lost all movement and function on the left side of her body, and her speech has been impacted. She spent four days in the ICU and has since been moved to a hospital room where she continues to receive around-the-clock care.
Despite the physical and neurological challenges, Debbie is still very much herself. She is mentally aware, present, and even cracking jokes when she can. Her spirit remains strong, but the road ahead will be long and incredibly difficult.
She now faces an extended hospitalization and will eventually need intensive inpatient rehabilitation to relearn how to move, walk, and hopefully regain some of her independence. This level of care is far beyond what our family can manage on our own.
Debbie is a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, and a caring friend. She has always shown up for others, and now we’re asking for support to help us show up for her.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
• Ongoing hospital and rehabilitation costs
• Specialized therapy and adaptive equipment
• Long-term care and accessibility needs for when she’s able to come home
• Household expenses including utilities, mortgage, and other critical bills while she’s unable to work
Every donation — no matter the size — will help give Debbie the best chance at recovery. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page to help us reach others who may be able to help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and prayers.
With gratitude,
