On May 9, 2025, our beloved David Trujillo Sr. suffered a catastrophic medical emergency that has changed our lives forever.
While home alone, David collapsed from a sudden and severe brain aneurysm, which triggered a stroke. He was found hours later, unconscious and unresponsive. By the time help arrived, he was already in critical condition and was rushed into emergency brain surgery in an attempt to save his life.
That surgery spared his life, but David is now facing an uncertain reality. He remains hospitalized and is unable to move independently or care for himself. He will require months of intensive rehabilitation, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Even with the best care, we do not know how much function he will recover.
To make this nightmare even more devastating, we were heartbroken to discover that David’s health insurance had unknowingly lapsed just months before his stroke. Due to ongoing financial hardship and a missed renewal notice, he had no coverage at the time of his medical emergency.
We are now facing a crushing financial crisis, with costs that include:
Emergency brain surgery
ICU and hospital stays
Daily medications and follow-up procedures
Physical and neurological rehabilitation
Living expenses, as David can no longer work
David is more than a patient in crisis — he is our dad, our brother, our friend. A master custom jeweler, he has spent many years crafting intricate, one-of-a-kind pieces for clients who became like family. He worked with integrity, patience, and passion — often putting others before himself. Whether repairing a cherished heirloom or designing a custom engagement ring, David put his heart into everything he did.
Now he needs that same care and love from us.
We are humbly asking for your support. Whether it’s a donation, a share, a prayer, or a kind word — every act of kindness makes a difference. If you’ve ever known David, worked with him, or admired his craft, please consider helping him during this time of overwhelming need.
We know this will be a long journey — physically, emotionally, and financially. But we believe in David’s strength, and we are doing everything we can to give him the fighting chance he deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Thank you.
