Dave Goudie was recently diagnosed with Stage III throat cancer. On behalf of Dave, his three children, his girlfriend Jess and her two kids, we are kindly and humbly asking for your help.

 

Dave is a great guy who grew up in a small town in Nebraska. After high school he moved to Phoenix where he attended ITT Tech for architecture. After finishing school, he decided to join the Marines during which time he was stationed in Japan and then was moved to Barstow, where finished out his 4 years and started a family and had 3 kids, Michael (16), Dani (14), and Max (13). After a few years he and the kids decided to move back to the Midwest to be closer to family. He has since been in Boone, IA. He recently just bought a house with his girlfriend Jess who has 2 kids, Mylah (11) and Landon (7).

 

The Goudie's are faced with a tough fight ahead. On October 21st, 2021, Dave had his port placed and started his first of 3 rounds of chemo the following day (which is once every 3 weeks) in conjunction with 7 weeks of radiation. He is getting the treatment he needs close to home which allows him to try to have the normal routine he and his family are used to. We know as he gets further into his treatments side effects will begin to affect day to day life and as strong as Dave is we know that help will be needed as we continue this fight. This news is shocking beyond words and leaves a loss for answers.
