I am in the process of recovering from recent mental health challenges that have made it necessary to change professions. After eight years with Starbucks, the disability benefits I earned have now been exhausted. I am still working hard in therapy to get strong enough to move forward, and while I have applied for public assistance, it will not be enough to cover my rent or living expenses. This transition has been difficult, but I am committed to my recovery and to building a healthier future for myself.

The funds I raise here will go directly toward my next rent payments for April and May, essential repairs for the E-bike that is my only form of transportation, out-of-pocket therapy costs for treatment related to my C-PTSD, and groceries. Every bit of support will help me maintain stability and continue my healing journey without the constant fear of losing my home or not having enough to eat.

It is not an easy thing to ask for help. Anyone who knows me well knows I am working really hard in therapy to heal my life from the inside out. That is happening, and I am really proud of the effort and time I have put into this process. I can't tell you what it would mean to have support that makes it possible to transition into the next stage of my recovery without worrying daily about facing the possibility of homelessness and not knowing how I'm going to secure food.
