On Saturday the 5th of July, a day meant for fun turned into a heartbreaking tragedy.

Darcy Coulson had taken his 7 year old son, Sonny, to the local cable wake park to enjoy some father-son time. But during the session, tragedy struck. Darcy fell from his wakeboard, hitting his head hard on a ramp.

In a moment no child should ever experience, Sonny witnessed the fall and was the first to raise the alarm. It took several crucial minutes before help could reach Darcy, who was found unconscious in the water. The impact caused a severe brain bleed, and with significant oxygen deprivation, the situation was critical.

First responders worked tirelessly to resuscitate Darcy and he was taken to the Alfred hospital where he remains in critical condition on life support. Against the odds, Darcy is showing small signs of improvement, but the road ahead is uncertain and incredibly tough.

While Darcy fights for his life, his partner Leah, and their two beautiful children Sonny and Millie are facing an overwhelming emotional and financial burden.

With Darcy in intensive care and unable to provide for his family, the cost of living, hospital travel, time off work, and the unknown future are already piling up.
