Hello Everyone, 

My little brother, Daniel (Danny) Rivera, was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident on July 31st around 4:45 AM. Our family was notified around 1:30 PM, hours after my mother first saw coverage of the accident on the morning news, not yet realizing it involved her own son.

Danny was just 2 minutes away from work when a distracted 18 year old driver ran a red light, crashing into him while he had the right of way. He was immediately rushed to University Health System, clinging to life. First responders administered CPR upon arrival, and he was quickly admitted into emergency care.

Danny sustained severe injuries, including:

-A broken pelvis

-Fractures in both legs and his ankle

-A serious internal injury requiring removal of a large portion of his large intestine due to extreme internal and rectal bleeding

Thanks to the incredible efforts of the medical team and his own fighting spirit, Danny is now in stable condition. However, he remains in the ICU, battling ongoing infections and awaiting major surgery to repair his pelvis.

Our family is doing everything we can to support him during this long and painful recovery process, but we need your help. Between medical bills, time away from work, and the care Danny will need for months to come, any amount you're able to give would be a blessing.
