My name is Victoria Serna, I go by Tori. I am organizing this fundraiser to reach out for help to support my Dad during his recovery. Your kind donations will go to cover his monthly expenses during his recovery and hospital bills.

At the end of June, my Dad got an infection on his leg that required hospitalization. He had three surgeries to remove infected tissue from the shin of his right leg. There was extensive tissue removed approximately 5 inches wide by 8 inches long. By the third surgery his body was in shock and his blood sugar levels and blood pressure were not controllable, so he went into the ICU until it was stabilized. His first stay in the hospital was one week. He will require skin grafts for his wound. Over July and August he had a wound vac for his leg and was going in to change his dressings every other day. He worked as much a possible during this time even though he was often nauseous and unable to sleep and eat.

In mid-August, he tested positive for COVID and had to be hospitalized. His immune system was not strong enough to fight COVID. He went on a ventilator on August 29th and was put into the COVID ICU. On Friday, September 3rd we received hopeful news that they were lowering the oxygen and sedation medication that he is receiving. His body did not react favorably and currently he is still sedated and on a ventilator. We are very hopeful for a full recovery.

He is a workaholic and enjoys watching movies and spending time with family.
