Help Support Dana Anderson in His Fight Against Cancer

My brother, Dana Anderson, has been a fighter his entire life. Since elementary school, Dana has lived with severe Crohn’s Disease, a condition that has caused him daily pain and countless challenges. Despite this, he pushed forward with determination, graduating from college as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and working in the field he loved—caring for others. Unfortunately, his health made it impossible to continue working long-term.

But Dana never gave up.

Over the years, he has faced a relentless series of medical battles. Here are just a few:

Crohn's Disease (for more than 50 years)

Multiple surgeries for different forms of cancer

Severe rheumatoid arthritis

Extremely brittle bones, resulting in repeated rib and back fractures

Severe COPD

Glaucoma

Quadruple bypass open-heart surgery and much more.

Through all of this, Dana somehow managed to raise three daughters on social security disability, instilling in them the same resilience and “never give up” attitude that has carried him through his own struggles.

And by his side through every single challenge has been his wife, Anna. She has attended every appointment, every hospital stay, and every difficult moment—offering comfort, strength, and love. Anna truly embodies the definition of being there “through better or worse,” and her unwavering support has been one of Dana’s greatest sources of strength.

Now, Dana is facing a new and very aggressive form of cancer that require ongoing treatment in Boston which is being determined now. His previous medical history makes further battles much more difficult This will likely mean countless hours of travel, extended hospital stays, and a heavy physical, emotional, and financial burden—one that no person should ever have to carry alone.

Dana has already endured more than most of us could imagine, yet he continues to meet each new challenge with courage, perseverance, and hope. What he should not have to worry about right now is how he will manage the financial strain of travel, treatment, and living expenses while he focuses on fighting this disease.
