Dear Friends and Colleagues

I'm reaching out to let you know that we are starting fundraiser to help Dan Burton and his family. We need your help!

On November 15th, 2022 while driving to work Dan Burton was involved in terrible car accident. The collision destroyed his vehicle and has sent him to the hospital. He is currently in Barrie’s Royal Victoria Hospital.

Over the past couple of months Dan has been in Intensive Care. Dan has had to face many hurdles. He has an intense desire to recover and to be home with his wife Serafina and 3 kids Aandon, Nolaan and Edyta. The path to recovery has been an emotional rollercoaster for Dan and family. With the support of his family by his side we wish Dan a speedy recovery.

For the past 5 years Dan has been part of the Town of New Tecumseth family. He is an integral part of Parks, Recreation and Culture Department and the senior leadership team. When Dan isn’t working, he spends his free time coaching his kid’s volleyball teams with the Barrie Elites Volleyball family. He has also managed his sons hockey teams with the Barrie Minor Hockey Association family.

The path to recovery will be long and many people (friends, co-workers, teammates) have asked about what they can do to help. We have decided to setup this page so people can make donations.

All funds will go to pay the any medical bills on the path to recovery and any shortfall in living expenses if there is extended time off work required.
