Help Support Damen Through His Battle with Cancer

My name is Malisa Haynes, and I am organizing this fundraiser on the behalf of my sister and her husband, Peun and Jy Khamdaeng, to help raise money for my nephew, Damen Khamdaeng. On September 9th, 2022, he was taken to the E.R. with flu like symptoms and abdominal pain. After a week of testing and having a bone marrow biopsy, I’m saddened to announce that he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has recently started chemotherapy at the Buffett Cancer Center, in Omaha, NE.

Damen recently celebrated his 21st birthday, on August 10th. This is such a travesty for our family to encounter a diagnosis in this caliber. I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes of raising money to assist with the start of his journey and beating cancer. All proceeds will go to assisting with medical, traveling expenses for gas, and hotel stay for his parents. Any help would be greatly appreciated to help aid with the start of his treatments. Damen is still so young and barely starting life. I cannot fathom the heartache that his parents are feeling. We are all so heartbroken of this news and it was all so sudden. If you know him personally, you’ll know that he has the most genuine soul. He needs us all right now, so let’s be there for him and the family during this difficult time.
